In October 2002, Associated General Contractors of Minnesota and the Occupational Safety and Health Division of Minnesota OSHA met to discuss a partnership charter that mutually recognized the importance of providing a safe and healthful work environment in the construction industry in addition to formalizing a long standing relationship between our two organizations. To advance our mutual goal, we strongly agreed on the need to develop a working relationship that creates mutual trust and respect for the respective roles of each organization in the construction safety process. It was agreed upon that the Construction Health and Safety Excellence Partnership (CHASE-Minnesota) would be the basis for our local agreement.
