Do you know what CHASE is and what the partnership could mean for your company?  Construction Health and Safety Excellance = CHASE.  The CHASE program began in 2002 as a partnership between Minnesota OSHA and AGC.  The program is designed to recognise AGC member contractors for their safety programs and performance while providing incentives for partnership.  Recently, the program was revised to reflect current industry best practices and provide a new jobsite-specific recognition level.

Level 1, formerly known as Red, is still geared toward AGC members who desire recognition for meeting minimum requirements of a safety and health program.  If you haven't applied to the CHASEprogram yet, this is the level to start at.  I encourage all AGC members to apply for Level 1 status.

Level 2, formerly known as White, is still geared toward AGC members who desire recognition for having a more comprehensive safety program.  Level 2 is a step up from Level 1.

Level 3 replaces the previous Blue level and provides the unique opportunity for MNOSHA partnership on projects that may not have been eligible in the past.  MNOSHA's SHARP program is currently available for jobsites lasting 18 months or longer.  Level 3 partnership is greared toward projects lasting at least 6 months and up to 18 months.  Contractors holding the Level 2 CHASE status for one year are eligible to apply for the Level 3.  AGC members who are current "White" level status in the CHASE program are eligible to apply to this new Level 3 partnership.
