August 24, 2010, (Minneapolis, Minn.) – Ann Luckmann and Jackie Kennedy were promoted to senior accountants at
Blanski Peter Kronlage & Zoch, P.A., Certified Public Accountants and Consultants.
Ann and Jackie are both graduates of Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn., where they received their Bachelor of Science Degrees in Accounting. They will primarily focus work in the tax, accounting and consulting areas.

Congratulations to Susan Rani, President of Rani Engineering Inc. Susan is one of Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal’s 2010 Minority Business Award winners.

M. A. Mortenson Jr., chairman of Mortenson Construction received the Lifetime Achievement award for the Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 Award in the Upper Midwest Region. 

On May 18th, Dave Adolfson, Adolfson & Peterson Construction Chairman Emeritus and Founder of Construction Career Training Program (CCTP), received the Governor’s “Best Practices Award” for “helping improve the lives of people in need”. The Minnesota Department of Corrections’ Commissioner, Joan Fabian, presented this award to CCTP for its accomplishments in assisting just over 300 former inmates get meaningful jobs in the past seven years.

Hardrives Inc. Acquires Tower Asphalt

Hardrives, Inc. announces the company has acquired Tower Asphalt, Inc. in Lakeland, Minnesota.  Since 1963, Hardrives has provided contracting expertise for everything from paving repair to highway construction projects for customers in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.  read more ......

Mark Ziegler assumed the position of president, Eric Taubenberger continues as office administrator and became corporate secretary, and William Fetter remains as senior estimator/project manager. Peter Taubenberger, former president and majority shareholder, has been retained as a consultant.

Harris Companies was named 2009 Contractor of the Year by Phc News (plumbing & hydronic contractor news).
