Planning Project of the Week: Law Enforcement Center Phases 1 & 2 (Alexandria), Project #s: 692276 & 692305, Cost Estimate: $11,000,000/each phase, Architect: Ringdahl Architects (Alexandria), Project Timeline: (Phase 1) March 2008 - Contract Documents available, May 2008 – Bid, August 2009 - Substantial Completion, (Phase 2) November 2008 - Schematic Design, February 2009 - Design Documents, July 2009 - Contract Documents, September 2009 – Bid, September 2011 - Substantial Completion. Project Detail: (Phase 1): Conversion of gym to Diesel teaching lab, and renewal of general classrooms. Academic programs impacted will be law enforcement, allied public safety fields, diesel, and truck driving. (Phase 2) Remodel existing library/bookstore, infill courtyard for classrooms and library, and demolition of two temporary classroom buildings.
