Did
you know that it’s the employers responsibility to certify that their operators
have been trained and evaluated on the equipment they operate, including
operation of aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts? On September 17, AGC is hosting a training that will include 2 hours of classroom instruction
and hands on practical demonstration for an aerial lift, scissor lift, and
forklift. Individuals that demonstrate safe operation of the equipment will
receive laminated operator cards. If you do not have a formal training process
for workers operating this equipment, or it’s been more than 3 years since
you’ve evaluated your employees, this is the perfect opportunity to make
sure you have proof of quality training for your employees.
The first portion of class will take place at the AGC Office, and then we will relocate to the southwest corner of the parking lot at 425 Rice Street, St. Paul, MN 55103 for hands-on skill evaluation of forklift, aerial lift, and scissor lift training.
