ABOUT Jael:
From a young age, Jael Mangi was driven by a desire to protect and serve others, initially aspiring to become a doctor. That vision evolved after visiting her father’s construction jobsite, where she witnessed how strong teams, thoughtful planning, and precise execution bring buildings to life. In that moment, she recognized that creating safe, sustainable, and resilient structures is another powerful way to care for communities.
Today, Jael serves as a Project Engineer at McGough Construction, supporting complex commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. She plays an integral role in project coordination, document control, scheduling, cost tracking, and field operations—collaborating closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality, safety, and compliance. Her hands-on experience, combined with strong time management and the ability to perform under pressure, allows her to contribute meaningfully to high-performing project teams.
Jael earned her Associate of Science in Construction Management from North Hennepin Community College in 2021, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and honors recognition. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Structures) at the University of Minnesota, deepening her technical expertise in structural systems and life-safety-focused design.
Grounded in a strong commitment to safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement, Jael represents the next generation of leaders shaping the future of construction. Through technical excellence, integrity, and a people-first mindset, she helps create environments that are not only structurally sound and sustainable—but built to protect and serve for generations.
