Melissa (Lisa) Feriancek
Office Manager / Human Resources Assistant
Lunda Construction
ABOUT Lisa:
Lisa Feriancek joined Lunda Construction in December 2013, originally interviewing for a receptionist position. Following her interview, Lunda created a records document role for her, a move that marked the beginning of a decade-long journey supporting multiple departments across the organization.
Over the years, Lisa’s work evolved into what she fondly describes as being a “Jill of all trades.” She has supported estimating and design-build teams by ordering bid bonds, assisting with DBE and small business outreach, submitting ALB paperwork, and handling a wide range of tasks that contribute to successful project bids. This variety kept the work engaging and gave her opportunities to continually learn more about the bridge-building industry.
As Office Manager, Lisa also played a key role during a period of significant growth for Lunda’s Minnesota office. She helped coordinate multiple office expansion efforts, from adding lower-level workspace to managing a full office addition, ensuring schedules, logistics, and organization stayed on track as the team grew.
In addition to her office management responsibilities, Lisa has held a dual role supporting the HR department. She has found this work especially rewarding, helping staff and maintaining compliance with driver files and other HR requirements.
When asked what she has enjoyed most during her time at Lunda, Lisa points not to a task or title, but to the people. Her coworkers, she says, are what made coming to work a true joy.
