AGC of Minnesota Safety Alliance
The AGC Safety Alliance is a community of AGC members who value safety in our industry. Not limited to member safety professionals, we welcome anyone at member firms interested in broadening their understanding and industry safety knowledge.
The AGC Safety Alliance engages with members through two primary means:
Mentorship
AGC of Minnesota has instituted a member mentorship program as a means to support the development of Safety Professionals in our market. The Mentorship Program connects experienced safety leaders with those who want to grow in their careers. Through regular conversations—virtual, in-person, or by phone—mentors provide guidance, share experiences, and encourage accountability toward professional goals. The program is flexible, confidential, and focused on helping both mentors and mentees thrive in the safety profession. If you would like more information about participating in this program, reach out to Stacy Arnold.
Forums
The Safety Alliance holds monthly Forums September through May. Forums include a feature presentation on a specific construction safety or health topic with time for discussion, best practices, lesson learned, and resource sharing. Meetings are very casual and held in a hybrid format at our office in St. Paul (unless otherwise noted). If you would like to receive periodic updates from the Safety Alliance and be invited to Monthly Safety Forums, please complete the form below. Forum invites will be sent to all invitees a few weeks before the meeting, and registration is required for in-person attendance.
Reach out to Stacy Arnold to suggest forum topics, or if you are interested in sponsoring a forum.

April 9, 2026 - Excavation & Trenches for controlling contractors presented by Ian Vagle of Rachel Contracting.
MN holds an excavating and trenching stand down each April to focus on the importance of excavation safety. In an effort to promote and help members prepare for the event, we will go over excavating and trenching best practices. What is the contractors responsibility when the excavators not on site? This will be a great meeting to encourage site supervisors to attend.
April 30, 2026 - Fall Protection best practices and blunders presented by AGC’s Stacy Arnold.
Falls continue to be one of the leading cause of incidents and fatalities in our industry (surpassed only by suicides). When AGC is visiting sites, misuse of fall protection equipment is still one of the most common things we see done wrong. OSHA sees it too – citations prove it. During this session, Stacy will share with you common errors, issues, and best practice solutions when it comes to fall protection. This is the week before National Safety Stand-Down to prevent falls in Construction in an effort to equip you with some new information to share with your teams. This would be another meeting to encourage anyone responsible for oversight and use of fall protection equipment to attend.
