WIC Week 2026: Lauren Grebinoski

Lauren Grebinoski

Demolition assistant Project Manager / Estimator
Veit
ABOUT Lauren:

Hi, I'm Lauren Grebinoski! I work as an assistant project manager and estimator with the Demolition team at Veit. Growing up around construction, I spent a lot of time riding in the dump truck with my grandpa and in equipment with my dad. From a young age, I knew that I loved this industry.

I began my journey as an intern at a civil engineering firm while in high school and later transitioned to a construction materials tester at a geotechnical engineering firm. I finally landed an internship at Veit in the spring of 2022. I’ve never lost my passion for what I do.

What I love most about my current role is that no two days are the same, which keeps me engaged and prevents career boredom. Some days, I work with the field team to plan upcoming tasks; on other days, I handle data entry for cost and production tracking or prepare submittals for clients. Lately, I've also been focusing more on networking, which I enjoy. I love getting out to meet people and hear their experiences in the industry. Building connections is important in this smaller industry— you never know when someone might be able to help you in a time of need.

One of my biggest challenges has been learning to work with multiple clients who have different personalities. Most of my initial learning was self-taught, but my employer recommended some AGC programs that have helped me navigate these situations more effectively. No two clients will ever be the same, so knowing how to converse with them in a way that aligns with their personality will not only make for smoother conversations, but it'll also help should a difficult situation arise.
