How did you get your start in construction?
I started in construction through my good friend Cole who sold me on joining the union to get into a career I would enjoy!
And enjoy it I do, I’m outside all day everyday rain, snow or shine and I couldn’t ask for anything more! Some days it gets rough but I can’t imagine ever working an indoor job again. Plus there’s always something new to learn!
What advice would you give a young girl interested in construction?
If you’re looking to get into this career, my advice to you would be this- Have tough skin but be willing to take criticism and an open mind. Like in any profession, you’ll never get along with everybody but try your best without letting anyone overstep your boundaries.
