Who has been one of the biggest influences and mentors in your career ?

Every job I have been on I have learned something from someone. Overall though I would say my co-workers have taught me about patience, understanding, and the importance of treating people with respect. This becomes important as I encounter situations where I am reminded I need to give back what's been given to me in that way.

What advice would you give a young girl who wants to go into construction?

One thing I think to prepare for is that this industry is full of changes. Jobs start and end, people come and go, tasks can vary and each individual job will vary. So being able to adapt to changes and have a willingness to learn new skills I think is important. Also, sticking with it at times and not growing complacent will be important because things will always be changing.

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

I like people and being part of a team. I also enjoy being outdoors and being able to move around.
